The Justice and Development Party (PJD) has voiced its «deep discontent» over the Socialist Union of Popular Forces' (USFP) decision to suspend coordination with other opposition parties on the motion of no confidence. In a statement issued following a meeting of its General Secretariat, the PJD accused the USFP of «reneging» on its commitment to jointly submit the motion against the government. It described the move as taken «in a suspicious and irresponsible manner», accusing the USFP of «hiding behind flimsy justifications» to avoid continued cooperation on this oversight initiative. The party added that this decision «echoes the suspicious role played by the Socialist Union during the government formation crisis following the 2016 elections», and criticized what it described as the party's ongoing pattern of negative behavior that weakens political engagement and disrupts the democratic process, a stance at odds with the USFP's historic legacy and the principled positions of its past leaders. Meanwhile, the USFP's parliamentary group in the House of Representatives announced it was suspending coordination on the motion, citing a lack of «genuine and sincere intent to see the initiative through». In an official statement, the group pointed to «subjective and technical debates» among some opposition parties that, in its view, had little to do with «recognized political and parliamentary norms». The USFP group further stated that it «did not sense any seriousness or real willingness to move forward with the motion of no confidence», but rather noted a «persistent tendency to bog the initiative down in procedural formalities that resurface at every meeting».
