Imprisoned Hirak leader Nasser Zefzafi was transferred from Tangier 2 Prison to Al Hoceima to visit his ailing father, currently hospitalized in the city, following approval by the General Delegation for Prison Administration and Reintegration. His brother, Tarik Zefzafi, shared the news on Facebook, writing: «In a commendable initiative, the General Delegation for Prison Administration and Reintegration responded to our dear brother Nasser Zefzafi's request to visit our father who is currently in a clinic in Al Hoceima». «The family deeply appreciated this gesture, which brought joy to our father and lifted his spirits as he battles illness. Through this opportunity, we renew our call for the release of our dear brother Nasser Zefzafi and all his companions, God willing», he added. Zefzafi has been incarcerated since May 29, 2017. He was sentenced to 20 years in prison on multiple charges, including «orchestrating a conspiracy to undermine the internal security of the state», «participating in the commission of a felony against state security», and «receiving funds, gifts, and other benefits intended to support and finance activities and propaganda that could harm the unity and sovereignty of the Kingdom of Morocco».
