Balearia will offer up to 34 daily sailings on routes involved in the Strait Crossing Operation (OPE), coordinated on the Moroccan side by Operation Marhaba. From June 15 to September 15, the Spanish ferry company plans to provide this historic number of crossings to meet strong passenger demand on the busiest routes: Tarifa – Tangier City, Algeciras – Tangier Med, Almería – Nador, Motril – Tangier Med, Malaga – Melilla, Algeciras – Ceuta, and Valencia – Mostaganem. On the Tarifa – Tangier City route, Balearia will operate up to 12 daily sailings between Spain and Morocco using two high-speed vessels. The company will also maintain a flexible schedule throughout the week, deploying a fleet of 10 vessels, including ferries and fast ferries, some of which have recently been refurbished. To support this operation, Balearia has boosted its workforce by nearly 300 additional staff across its offices in southern Spain and North Africa, including crew, operations, and customer service teams.
