European Union Ambassador to Morocco, Patricia Llombart Cussac, hosted a ceremony at her Rabat residence on July 8, 2025, celebrating 23 outstanding students admitted to the Erasmus Mundus Joint Master program. Higher Education Minister Azzedine El Midaoui attended the event, which marked the 10th anniversary of Erasmus+ implementation in Morocco. The scholarship recipients, selected for their academic excellence and potential, will pursue joint degrees at renowned universities across at least three countries. Their studies will span Germany, Belgium, Spain, France, Greece, Italy, Lithuania, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Sweden, Switzerland, South Africa, the United Kingdom, Canada, and the United States. The 2025 cohort includes 13 women and 10 men from various Moroccan cities, plus two international students from Togo and Somalia who studied in Morocco. Their academic fields range from sciences and smart cities to climate change, social sciences, political science, and criminology. Since 2015, over 180 Moroccan students have joined Erasmus Mundus Joint Masters programs. Despite highly competitive selection processes, participation continues to grow annually. A «Coffee Talk» session allowed direct dialogue between Ambassador Llombart Cussac and fifteen young people, addressing future skills and youth employability challenges.
