The Marrakech Security Directorate has launched an investigation into alleged professional misconduct by a police officer holding the rank of security inspector in the city's traffic division. The probe follows the circulation of a widely shared social media recording showing the officer allegedly attempting to solicit money from a driver in violation of official procedures. The sum requested did not correspond to the amount stipulated in the official fine report, raising suspicions that it was intended as a bribe. According to a security source, the officer is currently undergoing an administrative inquiry to determine the circumstances and details of the alleged misconduct, with the aim of assigning appropriate disciplinary and legal responsibility.
