The Agadir Police Department responded to a video circulating on social media since Wednesday, August 13, showing a group throwing stones, accompanied by claims that it was an attack by a criminal gang in Taroudante. Investigations revealed that the case is already the subject of an ongoing judicial inquiry by the regional security department in Taroudant. According to the findings, the incident involved a car driver who had a dispute with a girl he had previously been in a relationship with, and who allegedly forced her into his vehicle using violence. At that moment, three men on a tricycle intervened by throwing stones at the car, as seen in the video. Police later arrested the car driver, the young woman, the three stone-throwers, and the person who recorded the footage. All detainees are now under judicial investigation, supervised by the competent public prosecutor's office, to clarify the full circumstances of the case. Authorities have confirmed that the incident stemmed from a personal dispute and was not linked to any criminal gang activity, contrary to the claims made in the video's captions.
