Under the esteemed directives of King Mohammed VI, Crown Prince Moulay El Hassan led a ceremony on Wednesday at the Royal Palace in Rabat to honor the national U20 team, who were crowned world champions in 2025 in Chile. Upon his arrival, the Crown Prince was greeted by the president of the Royal Moroccan Football Federation, Fouzi Lekjaa, the national coach, Mohamed Ouahbi, along with the players and staff members. The event included a commemorative photo and a traditional tea ceremony. This reception highlights the royal appreciation for Moroccan youth and the Sovereign's steadfast commitment to advancing sports, particularly football. It celebrates a landmark achievement: the U20 team's victory, marking the first world championship title in the history of Moroccan and Arab football. This triumph is a testament to the King's visionary approach, which has raised national sports training to international standards, particularly through the Mohammed VI Football Academy, a hub for Moroccan talent. It also embodies the values of effort, perseverance, and excellence upheld by the Kingdom's youth. Following their victory against Argentina in the final, the King sent a congratulatory message to the Atlas Lion Cubs, commending their exemplary performance and the pride they have instilled by representing Morocco and the African continent with dignity.
