FC Barcelona is studying the possibility of playing a friendly match in Morocco, alongside another proposal in Peru, following its final 2025 game against Villarreal, set for December, according to Mundo Deportivo. The Moroccan option is currently favored due to its proximity and logistical convenience, allowing the team to travel from Barcelona and return within 24 hours, while the long flight to Lima would complicate scheduling before the players' AFE-mandated Christmas break, the same source reported. The same source recalls that Barça had turned down a lucrative offer last summer to play in Casablanca just before its Asian tour. This December, however, the friendly could finally take place there, as the board now views the Moroccan proposal as the most feasible option. The Peruvian offer, valued at €7–8 million, may still be reconsidered later in 2026 if scheduling allows.
