Paris Saint-Germain's Moroccan defender Achraf Hakimi will not require surgery after sustaining a left ankle injury during Tuesday's Champions League clash with Bayern Munich, L'Equipe reported on Wednesday. The right-back suffered a severe ankle sprain following a strong tackle from Luis Díaz and is expected to be sidelined for at least six weeks, according to medical tests conducted the following day. Despite the setback, L'Equipe noted that Hakimi could still recover in time to join Morocco for the Africa Cup of Nations, scheduled to take place in the Kingdom from December 21 to January 18, depending on the pace of his recovery.
