DR ‹ › Nezha Bidouane, President of the Royal Moroccan Federation of Sport for All (FRMSPT), was re-elected on Saturday in Civitanova, central Italy, as a member of the Board of Directors of the International Sport for All Federation (FISPT) for a second four-year term. Her re-election took place during the federation's elective congress, held on January 24 and 25. On the same occasion, the President of the FISPT, Issa Mohammed Abderrahim of Bahrain, was renewed as head of the international federation for a new term. Speaking to the press, Bidouane expressed her satisfaction with the renewed confidence placed in her, noting that the support of partners from four continents reflects both the importance of the FRMSPT's role and the esteem it enjoys among members of the international federation. She added that the elective congress provided a valuable opportunity for dialogue and exchange with representatives of brotherly and friendly countries, many of whom expressed a firm intention to take part in the second edition of the International Festival of Traditional Games and Sports, which the Royal Moroccan Federation plans to organize soon in Guercif. For his part, Issa Mohammed Abderrahim welcomed the growing interest shown by member countries in hosting Sport for All events. He also praised Morocco's pioneering role in promoting Sport for All in particular, and sports in general, stressing that «the Kingdom has now established itself as a model to follow». In this regard, the FISPT President highlighted the exceptional quality of Moroccan sports officials and the world-class infrastructure available in the Kingdom, pointing to Morocco's notable success in hosting major international sporting events, particularly in football. The extraordinary general assembly and the elective congress brought together 101 members representing 35 countries from four continents. During the assembly, it was also decided to transfer the headquarters of the FISPT to Rome. Founded in 1982 in Strasbourg, France, the federation had been headquartered in Manama, Bahrain, since 2009.
