The Moroccan National Tourist Office (ONMT) and Turkish Airlines have signed a strategic cooperation protocol in Casablanca to enhance tourism promotion efforts. The agreement establishes a framework for the joint mobilization of aviation, marketing, and media resources to position Morocco in high-potential international markets. According to an ONMT press release, the partnership includes co-branded communication campaigns in targeted markets, familiarization trips for tourism professionals and media, and joint operations during major international tourism events. The collaboration aims to improve Morocco's connectivity through Istanbul's hub, serving as an intercontinental platform to capture flows from Asia. «This partnership aligns with ONMT's strategic directions to strengthen Morocco's accessibility from major international markets», stated Achraf Fayda, ONMT's Director General. He emphasized that leveraging Istanbul's hub will consolidate the Kingdom's air connectivity and support the geographical diversification of tourist demand. The agreement was signed during an official event marking Turkish Airlines' 20-year presence in Morocco. Since 2019, the airline has operated the Istanbul-Marrakech route in coordination with ONMT, with frequencies progressively increasing to nine weekly flights during the summer season.
