During its session held this Thursday in Rabat, the Government Council reviewed and approved decree project 2.25.483, which sets the framework for film production activities in Morocco. This initiative was introduced by Mohamed Mehdi Bensaid, the Minister of Youth, Culture, and Communication. This decree is a crucial step in implementing the provisions of law 18.23. It aims to streamline the process for submitting authorization requests for film production activities and outlines the procedures for obtaining both national and international accreditations. This was emphasized by Mustapha Baitas, the Minister Delegate in charge of Relations with Parliament and Government Spokesperson, during a press briefing following the Council meeting. Baitas further explained that the decree project establishes specific criteria that films must meet to be eligible for national or international accreditation, as determined by the governmental authority responsible for communication.
