The Italian business association Confesercenti, which represents small businesses in retail, tourism, and services, held a meeting on Thursday, July 26, at the Moroccan Embassy in Rome with Khalid Atlassi, First Counsellor and Minister Plenipotentiary. The goal was to strengthen economic ties between Morocco and Italy. Vincenzo Schiavo, Vice President of Confesercenti and head of its Campania branch, emphasized the importance of creating direct links with fast-growing countries like Morocco to boost the economy of southern Italy. «We want to support our companies by creating strong partnerships with countries that are growing fast», he said. The meeting, supported by international relations advisor Dionisio Sabatino, focused on helping Italian companies expand into Morocco's growing market. Morocco on the other hand has shown growing interest in Italian products and the «Med ITALY» (made in Italy) business model. The event set the stage for future trade missions and cooperation between the two countries, with the goal of building a joint economic bridge between Europe and Africa.
