A 44-year-old Moroccan man was arrested in Milan last weekend in a joint operation by the State Police and the Central Operations Service, acting on a European arrest warrant issued in June by Spanish authorities. He is wanted for a murder related to drug trafficking, criminal damage, and illegal possession of weapons, local media reported. The man is charged by the Chiclana de la Frontera Court of First Instance in southwestern Spain over a January 2022 killing. Investigators found biological evidence linking him to the crime scene, as well as a burned-out car near the victim's body. He was spotted last Friday by police officers, and upon seeing them, attempted to flee toward the highway. He was apprehended shortly afterward. He was transferred to the Francesco Di Cataldo prison in Milan and placed at the disposal of the Court of Appeal.
