The General Directorate of National Security (DGSN) said on Sunday that it had responded with «great seriousness» to a video shared on social media showing behavior described as «unlawful» and attributed to two uniformed police officers. According to 2M, the Inspectorate General of the DGSN has been instructed to conduct a thorough investigation into the video to verify its authenticity, identify any possible misconduct or violations, and determine the appropriate professional and legal responsibilities. The footage shows two uniformed officers behind a parked car, restraining a man on the ground. One of the officers appears to use his baton and make kicking motions, while the man can be heard screaming and questioning why he is being arrested.
