The National Human Rights Council (CNDH) has continued to monitor the protests taking place across various Moroccan cities and has observed with interest the demonstrations of the past two days, which unfolded peacefully without any incidents that could infringe upon the right to peaceful assembly, both regionally and nationally. In a statement, the CNDH emphasized that this reflects the successful application, by both protesters and law enforcement, of a human rights–based approach to the right to peaceful assembly. The Council described this as a shared responsibility between protest organizers and public authorities, achieving a balance between maintaining public order, protecting private and public property, and upholding the right to peaceful demonstration. The statement added that the recent protests, through their collective and non-violent nature, have exemplified best practices by both organizers and law enforcement, helping to preserve the peaceful character of the gatherings. The CNDH also noted that emerging digital forms of expression have followed this same peaceful trend, marking another positive step in Morocco's democratic and human rights process.
