The Moroccan U17 national team held their Senegalese counterparts to a scoreless draw (0-0) on Thursday at the Lat Dior Stadium in Thiès, about 60 km from Dakar. This friendly match is part of their preparations for the U17 World Cup Qatar 2025, set to take place from November 3 to 27. This game marks a key moment in the Atlas Lion Cubs' training camp on Senegalese soil. The two teams are scheduled to meet again for a second friendly match on Sunday at the same venue. National coach Nabil Baha has selected 22 players for this training camp, with the majority honing their skills at national training centers, according to the Royal Moroccan Football Federation (FRMF). As the reigning African champions, the Atlas Lion Cubs are among the ten teams representing the continent at the U17 World Cup. They will compete in Group B, alongside Japan, Portugal, and New Caledonia.
