The Moroccan Agency for International Cooperation (AMCI) received the prestigious technical excellence award from the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) in Rome on Wednesday. This accolade underscores Morocco's pivotal role in advancing south-south cooperation for development. Presented as part of the World Food Forum (WFF), the award acknowledges Morocco's dedication to fostering and promoting this form of collaboration, with a particular focus on sustainable agriculture and food security. At the certificate ceremony celebrating excellence, AMCI was recognized in the category of south-south and triangular cooperation. The agency was lauded for its efforts in bolstering the synergy among southern nations and actively sharing expertise and innovative solutions. AMCI collaborates with national and international partners to enhance and advocate for Morocco's south-south and triangular cooperation initiatives. These projects span various priority sectors, all aimed at advancing sustainable human development. Coinciding with the FAO's 80th anniversary, the ceremony honored exemplary global practices and excellence in implementing programs that facilitate knowledge exchange across six priority technical areas. These initiatives are in line with the World Food Day theme, «Hand in Hand for Better Food and a Better Future».
