Morocco opened 49 new health centers across nine regions, deploying approximately 230 healthcare professionals to staff the facilities under Health Minister Amine Tehraoui's direction following royal directives to reform the national health system. This initiative is part of a government program to rehabilitate 1,400 health centers nationwide, aimed at reducing territorial disparities in healthcare access and meeting growing demand. The new facilities have been equipped with modern medical equipment to serve both urban and rural populations, reads a press release by the Health Ministry on Friday. Marrakech-Safi leads the expansion with 11 new centers distributed across Marrakech, Essaouira, and Al Haouz. The Oriental region follows with 10 centers in Nador, Driouch, and Figuig-Bouarfa.
