DR ‹ › On Sunday, the body of a student who had been missing following flooding in Tinghir province, was recovered after several days of intensive search operations involving multiple rescue teams. Local sources said the body was found after long hours of ground and aerial searches carried out under difficult conditions. Significant technical and logistical resources were mobilized, including a Royal Gendarmerie helicopter, five drones, excavation equipment, and trained search dogs. The tragedy dates back to the night of Saturday, December 13, when flash floods in the Fzou Valley swept away a vehicle. At the time, water levels in the valley rose dangerously, carrying heavy mud and debris. The vehicle was carrying four people from the Sidi Ali area in Errachidia province when it overturned under the force of the current, killing two passengers on the spot, while search efforts continued for the remaining two, whose bodies were later recovered on Sunday and the previous Monday.
