DR ‹ › The Queen of Pop is living la vida loca in Morocco. Spending the winter holidays in the country, Madonna rang in the New Year in Marrakech, embracing Moroccan traditions. Photos shared on her Instagram from the night were captioned, «Habibi, come alive… it's 2026», accompanied by the Moroccan flag and a heart emoji. The images show Madonna with her children and boyfriend, posing in front of a line of tbourida horsemen, traditional Moroccan riders who perform synchronized cavalry charges and ceremonial rifle fire. Another photo captures the riders discharging their rifles into the air as part of the Fantasia performance staged for the New Year's Eve celebration. The festivities took place in Agafay, inside a Moroccan-style tent. Madonna, her children, and her partner also added a local touch to their outfits, wearing traditional items such as a selham, a tarbouch, and a litham. Madonna's choice of Morocco for her winter getaway is no coincidence. A longtime admirer of the country, the Queen of Pop previously celebrated her 60th birthday in Marrakech in 2018, hosting a lavish party attended by close friends and family.
