DR ‹ › An individual who impersonated a King's Prosecutor and demanded 5,000 dirhams from a litigant in exchange for cancelling a wanted notice issued against him has been placed in police custody, on Thursday, following instructions from the King's Prosecutor at the Court of First Instance of Marrakech. Acting on instructions from the Public Prosecutor's Office, the suspect was arrested while receiving the said sum in the vicinity of the court, according to information obtained from the Public Prosecutor's Office at the Court of First Instance of Marrakech. Searches conducted at the suspect's residence led to the seizure of several official stamps and case files as part of the investigation, the same source added. The searches also resulted in the confiscation of a significant sum of money, estimated at 5 million dirhams.
