DR ‹ › Moroccan medical devices manufacturer IM MEDICARE inaugurated a new industrial unit dedicated to the production of hypodermic and vaccination syringes on Friday, January 16, at the Sidi Bou Othmane industrial park in the Safi–Marrakech region, in the presence of Minister of Industry and Trade Ryad Mezzour. The project represents an investment of 85 million dirhams and will create 70 direct jobs, while increasing the company's annual production capacity to 450 million syringes. The facility is designed to meet domestic demand and support Morocco's strategic push toward African markets. Aligned with national priorities to strengthen medical-device sovereignty, the project also contributes to regional socio-economic development. On this occasion, the minister said the initiative reflects «the ability of Moroccan companies to innovate and establish themselves as reliable suppliers in the global vaccination-device market». Founded during the Covid-19 health crisis, IM MEDICARE obtained World Health Organization qualification in 2025 for its 0.5 ml auto-disable syringe, branded «Early Activation», enabling the company to access international tenders, particularly those related to vaccination programs.
