DR ‹ › On Sunday, the Mohammed VI Institute hosted a key meeting for the delegation of imams, morchidines, and morchidates preparing to carry out their Ramadan mission abroad. Organized by the Ministry of Endowments and Islamic Affairs, the gathering provided guidance and orientation to ensure the delegation is fully prepared to support the Moroccan community overseas during the holy month of Ramadan 1447H/2026. The delegation includes 22 male preachers, 19 female preachers, and 309 mouchafiïnes, who will be dispatched to France, Belgium, Spain, the Netherlands, Germany, Canada, and Estonia. Their mission is to meet the religious needs of Moroccans living abroad throughout Ramadan. The initiative aims to strengthen ties within the Moroccan diaspora, preserve the spiritual unity of Moroccan mosques, and ensure that religious activities are conducted in compliance with European laws and in coordination with local associations that manage religious affairs for Moroccan communities. Mohcine Akoujim, Director of Monitoring the Activities of the Councils of Ulemas at the General Secretariat of the Supreme Council of Ulemas, highlighted the importance of the mission, noting that it reinforces Morocco's cultural and spiritual presence in Europe and other diaspora regions. Nadia Ezzahi, a preacher from the Local Council of Ulemas in Inzegane and a member of the delegation, stressed that the initiative helps build bridges of communication with Moroccans worldwide while conveying the core values of their faith. Rachid Hazimi, imam of Al-Rahman Mosque in Sidi Ifni and also part of the mission, said that sending this religious delegation abroad during Ramadan reflects King Mohammed VI's continued commitment to the religious sphere.
