DR ‹ › The General Directorate of National Security (DGSN) has categorically denied rumors circulating about alleged cases of child abduction linked to organ trafficking, stressing that the claims are baseless and have been spread in a way that fuels unnecessary panic among citizens. In a statement issued to clarify the situation, the DGSN said its services have not recorded any cases of child abduction connected to organ trafficking. It also noted that the «Iblagh» reporting system and the «My Child is Missing» program, both set up by national security services to report crimes and missing children, have not received any notifications related to incidents similar to those mentioned in the rumors. According to the same source, monitoring of online content revealed that old videos and recordings related to past cases of missing minors, none of which involved criminal suspicion, have been recirculated and misleadingly presented as abductions. The DGSN added that the spread of these false reports has caused concern among some citizens, prompting a limited number of alerts about alleged abduction attempts. However, judicial investigations carried out by the competent authorities found that these incidents had no criminal nature and were unrelated to kidnapping or organ trafficking. The Directorate reiterated its commitment to countering misinformation and stated that judicial police services have launched investigations under the supervision of the competent public prosecutors to identify those responsible for spreading the false reports, which undermine the public's sense of security.
