DR ‹ › The Spanish maritime company Armas Trasmediterránea announced on Monday the implementation of a large-scale logistical plan in anticipation of Operation Marhaba 2026, offering more than two million seats between Morocco and Spain. This enhancement of maritime transport capacities is part of the preparations for the summer transit period, scheduled from June 15 to September 15, to meet the high demand recorded on routes between the Iberian Peninsula and Morocco, the company stated in a press release. The operational plan deployed by Armas Trasmediterránea will cover the main routes connecting the Spanish ports of Algeciras, Motril, and Almería to the Moroccan ports of Tanger Med, Nador, and Al Hoceima, thus ensuring smooth connectivity for Moroccans residing abroad and international travelers. Cited in the press release, the company's commercial director, Óscar Martínez, indicated that Operation Marhaba 2026 is the subject of meticulous planning aimed at ensuring comfortable, safe, and efficient crossings. This arrangement will increase the frequency and vehicle accommodation capacity while mobilizing additional teams to handle the expected passenger flow, which is anticipated to rise compared to the previous year, the same source highlights.
