DR ‹ › The Ministry of Justice on Friday warned citizens about a fake website impersonating its official service for paying traffic fines issued by fixed radar systems. In a statement, the ministry said the alert follows the recent circulation of fraudulent SMS messages promoting a website that allegedly allows users to pay traffic fines. The messages falsely claim that vehicles are eligible for a fine exemption and warn that failure to pay before April 5, 2026, would result in the full amount being charged along with late fees. The ministry clarified that the website in question (https://amendes-justice-gov.lat/ma) is fraudulent and does not belong to its official services. It stressed that the only legitimate platform for paying fines is accessible via the secure official link: https://amendes.justice.gov.ma. The Ministry of Justice urged citizens to exercise extreme caution and to rely exclusively on its official digital services listed on https://mahakim.ma. It also warned against clicking on suspicious links received via SMS or email, and advised users to verify website addresses before entering any personal information, particularly sensitive data such as banking details or passwords. The statement added that the ministry has taken the necessary measures, in coordination with the relevant authorities, to stop this fraudulent activity and protect users. It also called on anyone who suspects they may have fallen victim to fraud, or who has relevant information, to report it immediately to the competent authorities. The ministry reiterated its commitment to ensuring the security of its digital services and protecting citizens' data.
