DR ‹ › The Marchica lagoon development program in Nador has reached a new milestone with the launch of a DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel & Residences project in Atalayoun. In a statement issued on April 29, Marchica Med, a subsidiary of the Marchica Lagoon Development Agency (AASLM), announced the signing of a partnership agreement with HenriPay Holding N.V. and Hilton Worldwide for the development of the project at the Marina Nord of Atalayoun. The agreement includes a 20-year Branding and Management Agreement (BAMA) with Hilton, allowing the complex to operate under the DoubleTree by Hilton brand, in line with the group's international standards and global commercial network. The project will consist of a large-scale high-end hotel and residential complex located along the lagoon, near the marina. It will feature a luxury hotel, branded residences, and a full range of amenities, including wellness areas, leisure facilities, restaurants, shops, swimming pools, and other services aimed at delivering a premium hospitality experience. According to the statement, this investment reflects HenriPay Holding's confidence in the tourism potential of the Marchica lagoon and the Nador province. It also aligns with Marchica Med's strategy to strengthen partnerships with the private sector while promoting sustainable territorial development and preserving the lagoon, described as a «natural jewel» of the Mediterranean basin. Construction is scheduled to begin in the near future, with partners highlighting a shared ambition to deliver a project of international scale while ensuring long-term environmental and economic sustainability.
