The Minister Delegate to the Head of Government, responsible for the National Defense Administration, Abdellatif Loudiyi, received Angel Tilvar, Minister of National Defense of Romania, on Tuesday at the headquarters of this administration. Tilvar was on a working visit to the kingdom, accompanied by a delegation of military officials and the Romanian ambassador accredited to Rabat. This visit aimed to strengthen and diversify bilateral cooperation between the two countries. It was highlighted by the signing of a cooperation agreement in the military and technical fields between Morocco and Romania, in the presence of the Lieutenant General, Inspector General of the Royal Armed Forces (FAR), and Commander of the South Zone. The cooperation agreement focuses on various areas including training, exercises, defense industry, technical support, exchange of expertise, military health, cybersecurity, and establishes a joint military commission that will alternate its meetings between Rabat and Bucharest to determine cooperation areas. Moreover, both parties emphasized the positive and constructive roles played by Morocco and Romania in maintaining stability, security, and peace in their respective regions. They are fully aware of the geostrategic responsibilities that dictate their positions, aiming to promote peace and harmony in Africa and Europe. Tilvar stressed the high priority nature of the partnership with Morocco and seized the opportunity to express admiration for the impressive levels of economic and social development achieved by the kingdom. This further strengthens Morocco's position as a dynamic actor and a bastion of stability and peace in its Euro-Mediterranean and African neighborhood. Concluding the meeting, both officials expressed a shared ambition and desire to further strengthen these relations in the future. This will be achieved through the implementation of provisions outlined in the cooperation agreement signed on this day, as well as through regular exchanges of visits between officials from both countries.
