In February, nearly 1.4 million tourists crossed the kingdom's borders, marking a 22% increase compared to the same period in 2024, which translates to an additional 248,000 arrivals. This growth is driven by both foreign tourists (+18%, or 119,000 more visitors) and Moroccans living abroad (+26%, or 130,000 additional visitors). In the first two months of the year, Morocco welcomed 2.7 million tourists, a 24% jump compared to 2024, equating to 521,000 more visitors. The main source markets are showing strong performances, confirming the country's appeal. Fatim-Zahra Ammor, Minister of Tourism, Handicrafts, and Social and Solidarity Economy, praised these results: «Half a million additional visitors in just two months is a figure that speaks for itself. This confirms that Morocco holds its place among the world's top destinations. Each visitor directly contributes to the economic growth of our regions, job creation, and youth integration. It's a winning dynamic for the entire ecosystem and proof that Morocco's tourism strategy, under the leadership of His Majesty King Mohammed VI – may God assist him – continues to bear fruit».
