The Hay Hassani district in Casablanca was shaken by a tragic incident following the death of two infants at an unlicensed daycare run by a woman in her fifties. The details of the incident emerged when emergency services at the local hospital received two infants, aged 8 months and 2 years, in critical condition on Saturday night and Sunday morning. Unfortunately, both children succumbed to their conditions due to medical complications. Initial investigations revealed that the children had been under the care of a woman at her home, where she was looking after several children for a fee, in conditions that lacked proper health and safety standards. The bodies of the infants were transferred to the morgue for autopsy to determine the exact causes of death, amid suspicions that the poor conditions at the daycare were involved. The other children present at the same location, who were also exhibiting symptoms of illness, were taken to the local hospital for necessary treatment and examinations. The judicial police continue their investigation under the supervision of the public prosecutor to uncover all the circumstances surrounding this incident, which has left the community in shock.
