Heavy thunderstorms with hail and strong wind gusts, along with localized dust storms, are expected from Wednesday to Thursday across several Moroccan provinces, according to the Directorate General of Meteorology (DGM). Specifically, thunderstorms producing 25 to 50 mm of rain are forecast for Thursday between 10 a.m. and 11 p.m. in the provinces of Tinghir, Errachidia, Ouarzazate, Midelt, and Zagora, the DGM said in an orange-level alert bulletin. Similarly, strong winds ranging from 75 to 90 km/h, accompanied by local dust storms, are expected on Wednesday from 1 p.m. to 8 p.m. in the provinces of Figuig, Jerada, Boulemane, Errachidia, Midelt, and Tinghir. The same conditions are forecast for Thursday from 6 a.m. to midnight in the provinces of Jerada, Taourirt, Figuig, Oujda-Angad, Guercif, Boulemane, Azilal, Al Haouz, Errachidia, Tinghir, Midelt, and Ouarzazate.
