The Confederation of African Football (CAF) announced on Thursday a significant increase in prize money for the 2024 edition of the Women's Africa Cup of Nations (CAN 2024), set to take place in Morocco from July 5 to 26, 2025. CAF has doubled the prize for the tournament winner and raised the overall prize pool by 45%, according to a statement published on its official website. The total prize money now stands at USD 3,475,000, with the champions set to receive USD 1 million. The runners-up will earn USD 500,000, while the third-place team will take home USD 350,000. The team finishing fourth will receive USD 300,000, and each of the quarter-finalists will be awarded USD 200,000.
