A spin-off of Netflix's hit action franchise Extraction, starring Omar Sy, is reportedly set to begin filming in December 2025, and Morocco may be on the map. The eight-episode series, produced by AGBO and showrun by Glen Mazzara (The Walking Dead), follows a mercenary caught in a deadly mission to rescue hostages in Libya. While Netflix hasn't officially confirmed filming locations, industry insiders suggest part of the shoot is planned for Morocco, adding the North African country to a list that previously included India, Thailand, and the Czech Republic. Initially scheduled to start in September 2025, production now appears to be slightly delayed, with filming expected to extend into early 2026. British director Louise Hooper (The Sandman, The Witcher) has also joined the project to direct several episodes.
