On Tuesday, the body of a former Colombian military officer was discovered on a Moroccan beach, after being reported missing since June 30 in the Spanish city of Algeciras. According to Iberian media, initial theories point to the possibility of an aviation accident. Authorities are still investigating the circumstances of his death, and the body is currently undergoing forensic analysis. The former Colombian Air Force pilot had traveled to Spain on a professional assignment for a Honduras-based company specializing in helicopter restoration. According to La Nación, his family said he had been contacted about a month ago to take part in a practical test related to this mission. His brother explained that the deceased worked for «the only company in the world specializing in restoring this type of aircraft», adding, «He died while doing his job. He was working on helicopters and had traveled specifically for that purpose».
