DR ‹ › Heavy rainfall accompanied by strong wind gusts is expected to affect several Moroccan provinces from Tuesday through Thursday, according to the General Directorate of Meteorology (DGM). Chefchaouen, Tétouan, and Larache are forecast to receive between 60 and 95 mm of rain from Tuesday at noon until midnight on Thursday, the DGM said in an orange-level weather alert. During the same period, rainfall totals of 40 to 60 mm are expected in the provinces of Taounate, Al Hoceima, Ouezzane, Sefrou, Taza, Fahs-Anjra, Tanger-Assilah, M'Diq-Fnideq, and Ifrane. At the same time, strong winds with gusts ranging from 75 to 95 km/h are forecast from Tuesday noon to Thursday midnight in a wide swath of the country, including Chefchaouen, Berkane, Fahs-Anjra, Al Hoceima, Oujda-Angad, Nador, Guercif, Driouch, M'Diq-Fnideq, Tétouan, Taourirt, Boulemane, Taza, Moulay Yacoub, Tata, Ouarzazate, Figuig, Jerada, Ouezzane, Tanger-Assilah, Taroudant, Tiznit, Sidi Slimane, Sidi Kacem, Larache, Taounate, Tinghir, Kénitra, El Hajeb, Ifrane, Midelt, Meknès, Fès, and Sefrou. In addition, wind gusts of 70 to 80 km/h are expected on Tuesday between noon and 6:00 p.m. in the provinces of Mohammadia, Sidi Bennour, Casablanca, Benslimane, Berrechid, Rabat, Salé, Skhirate-Témara, El Jadida, Safi, Nouaceur, and Mediouna.
