The National Broadcasting and Television Company (SNRT) issued a call for tenders on July 30 to secure providers for aerial cable camera systems, commonly known as spidercams, for the upcoming Africa Cup of Nations (Afcon 2025). The goal is to equip the nine host stadiums with cutting-edge broadcast technology to enhance television coverage. The total estimated cost of the project is at least 9.58 million MAD, with Rabat emerging as the main beneficiary. In Rabat, four stadiums are slated to receive spidercam systems: Prince Moulay Abdellah stadium (1.43 million MAD), the Olympic stadium (844,332 MAD), Prince Moulay El Hassan stadium (827,964 MAD), and El Barid stadium (658,176 MAD). Other host cities will also benefit from these installations. Casablanca's Mohammed V stadium will receive equipment worth 1.37 million MAD, the Grand Stadium of Marrakech is budgeted at 1.21 million MAD, and the stadium in Fès at 850,140 MAD. Systems will also be installed at Ibn Batouta stadium in Tangier (1.17 million MAD) and Agadir's Adrar stadium (1.21 million MAD). SNRT has set the deadline for bid submissions to September 10, 2025.
