Spanish travel company World2Meet (W2M) is accelerating its international expansion strategy to globalize its brands. To support this effort, the Iberostar Group subsidiary has appointed Elena Cabrera, who will be tasked with strengthening the company's footprint in new markets, particularly in Central Europe and Morocco, according to Spanish media reports on Monday. Cabrera previously served as the country director for Ryanair across Spain, Portugal, France, and Morocco. In her new role, she will oversee the internationalization of W2M's travel brands, including Newblue in Bulgaria and Romania. Known for her pivotal role in expanding Ryanair's presence in key markets, Cabrera is expected to help W2M explore opportunities beyond Europe as well. Before her time at Ryanair, Cabrera led market launches for major Spanish consulting firms Kreab and Atrevia. W2M is banking on her expertise to drive its global growth, after closing 2024 with a turnover of €2.753 billion—a 27% increase from the previous year. The company is aiming to reach €3.196 billion in revenue by the end of 2025.
