The Ministry of Endowments and Islamic Affairs announced on Saturday evening that the month of Rabie I 1447 in the Islamic calendar will begin on Monday, August 25, 2025. As a result, Eid Al Mawlid Annabaoui will be celebrated on Friday, September 5. In its statement, the ministry explained that the moon-sighting for the start of Rabie I 1447 was carried out on Saturday, Safar 29, 1447 (August 23, 2025), after sunset. Reports from the ministry's delegates across the kingdom, along with observation units from the Royal Armed Forces, confirmed that the crescent moon was not sighted. Accordingly, the month of Safar will run for 30 days, making Monday, August 25, 2025, the first day of Rabie I 1447, with Eid Al Mawlid Annabaoui to be observed on Friday, September 5, as stated by the ministry.
