CASHPLUS, a leading fintech and financial services provider, has signed a strategic partnership with global digital payments giant PayPal to launch a faster, fully digital solution for withdrawing PayPal funds in Moroccan dirhams (MAD). The agreement enables users in Morocco to instantly access their money in the national currency via the CASHPLUS mobile app, without visiting a branch or submitting documents. This is now an «exclusive feature», making CASHPLUS «the only player in Morocco to offer PayPal withdrawals in a fully digital manner», the two partners said in a joint statement. The service is designed to benefit freelancers, entrepreneurs, creators, and online sellers by streamlining their financial operations directly from their smartphones. «With over 18 million internet users and a booming digital economy, Morocco is rapidly becoming a hub of digital innovation», the statement adds, noting that the country's digital payments market is projected to reach 14.29 billion USD by 2025 and exceed 35 billion USD by 2030. Against this backdrop, the partnership between CASHPLUS and PayPal is presented as «a crucial lever in the development of the country's digital financial infrastructure». Beyond enabling access to international revenues, the initiative also supports Morocco's National Financial Inclusion Strategy, which aims to integrate 75% of the adult population into the formal financial system by 2030.
