The Confederation of African Football (CAF) announced Thursday that it is postponing the launch of the first phase of ticket sales for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco, in order to finalize key details that will ensure the best possible experience for fans. «CAF is working closely with the Local Organizing Committee (LOC) and various partners, and will announce a new date for the opening of this first sales phase in due course», the organization said in a statement. «CAF apologizes for any inconvenience caused», the statement added. Indeed, the much-awaited ticket presale for Visa cardholders on September 25 turned into a fiasco, as overwhelming demand brought down CAF's official ticketing site. Thousands of fans trying to log in were instead greeted with the message: «Ticketing temporarily unavailable. Due to high demand, all available tickets are currently being purchased. Thank you for your understanding».
