On Wednesday, the young man who was run over during Tuesday night's events in Oujda, in the context of the «Gen Z» protests, was airlifted by a military medical helicopter to the military hospital in Rabat for further treatment. The victim, a student at Mohammed First University in Oujda, sustained severe injuries after being struck by a police vehicle. According to medical sources at Mohammed VI University Hospital, one of his legs has been amputated, while the other remains at risk. Since late last week, several Moroccan cities have witnessed a wave of protests led by «Gen Z» youth, calling for improvements in health and education, action against corruption, and greater job opportunities. Over the past two days, the protests have escalated into violent clashes between demonstrators and security forces, leaving dozens injured on both sides and resulting in two protester deaths in Al-Qal'aa.
