In a show of solidarity with the GenZ 212 movement, a «call to all members of the Moroccan community abroad» and to «all young people of the diaspora» has been made to rally in front of Moroccan embassies in their respective countries. This statement, received by Yabiladi on Friday, echoes Generation Z's demands for improvements in public health and education services within the kingdom. While demonstrations are already scheduled for October 4, 2025 outside the Moroccan embassy in Paris and the consulate in Amsterdam, this broader call seeks to galvanize support in other capitals as well. The organizers are also pushing for genuine political engagement «both in Morocco and abroad», advocating for the allocation of parliamentary seats (in both chambers) and positions in all governance councils. They are also urging the swift establishment of the Youth Council, as outlined in the 2011 Constitution. Morocco: GenZ 212 addresses the king and calls for the government's resignation In line with this, the initiators emphasize the need to implement «the content of His Majesty the King's speeches concerning Moroccans worldwide and their political rights, including the right to vote from their countries of residence». They also call for a robust fight against corruption in all its forms, ensuring that officials are held accountable for their actions. Additionally, the call demands «the immediate release of all political prisoners and all young women and men recently detained». Within Morocco, new GenZ 212 gatherings are announced for October 3 in thirteen cities.
