DR ‹ › The United Arab Emirates has expressed its solidarity with Morocco following the deadly floods in Safi, which caused dozens of deaths, injuries, and extensive damage. In a statement issued Tuesday, the UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs offered its sincere condolences and sympathy to the families of the victims and to the Moroccan people, wishing a swift recovery to all those injured. The floods in Safi have so far claimed 37 lives and left dozens injured. The sudden torrents that submerged parts of the city, particularly the old medina, also prompted a three-day suspension of classes, as heavy rainfall is expected to continue until Thursday.
