An initial assessment found that rainwater inundated around 70 homes and shops in areas such as Bir Anzarane Street and Sidi Boudhab Square. Around ten vehicles were swept away, and the road connecting Safi to the Hrara rural commune sustained damages, while several routes within the city were closed to traffic. Videos shared online showed cars being carried off by the floods and homes almost completely submerged under rainwater. Authorities have mobilized all emergency teams and resources to respond to the crisis, support residents, and repair damaged infrastructure.
