A severe thunderstorm struck several areas of the Zagora region on Thursday evening, causing significant damage to agricultural lands—particularly the watermelon crop, one of the region's key economic products. The storm, accompanied by heavy rainfall and hail, destroyed a large portion of the local harvest. Photos and videos circulated on social media showed the extent of the damage to the watermelon fields. Clips also captured sweeping floods that inundated rural roads, disrupting traffic and temporarily isolating several villages.
