DR ‹ › The royal family has decided to put up for sale several luxury properties in Paris that belonged to the late Princess Lalla Latifa, mother of King Mohammed VI. The assets include three prestigious properties with a combined estimated value of around €30 million, according to Africa Intelligence. Real estate professionals say the move has sparked considerable interest within Paris's high-end property market. The most prominent of the properties is a private mansion located on Boulevard Maurice Barrès in the upscale suburb of Neuilly-sur-Seine, near the Bois de Boulogne and several diplomatic residences. Spread over four floors, the building has been converted into a private mansion hotel covering 1,325 square meters, including 569 square meters of bedrooms, with spacious balconies and a rooftop terrace offering views of the Louis Vuitton Foundation, a feature that significantly enhances its value on the luxury market. The mansion includes eight high-end suites, each with a private bathroom, as well as a ground-floor salon inspired by traditional mashrabiya design. The two lower levels house a swimming pool, a traditional hammam, a gym, and handcrafted mosaic décor. According to real estate agencies Barnes and Engel & Völkers, the property is priced at around €20 million. Just a few meters away, a second residence on Windsor Street has also been listed for sale. This elegant ten-room house spans more than 500 square meters and features a 200-square-meter private garden, along with three suites boasting wooden floors and marble bathrooms. The property is adorned with Murano glass chandeliers and is valued at approximately €7.5 million, according to Barnes. The third asset is a penthouse located in Courbevoie, near the La Défense business district. It is believed to have previously been used to accommodate members of the royal family's staff. All three properties were acquired in 2002, when Princess Lalla Latifa purchased them through private real estate companies managed by Elie Michel Rouimi, her Paris-based business manager. Their current market value has risen significantly since the initial purchases, reflecting the sharp appreciation of luxury real estate in the French capital. As for the distribution of the inheritance, ownership of the properties has passed to Prince Moulay Rachid and the princesses Lalla Meryem, Lalla Asma, and Lalla Hasnaa. King Mohammed VI is reported to have waived his share of the French real estate assets. According to the same source, the royal family is also preparing to sell additional properties in Morocco, including residences in Rabat and Bouznika.
