DR ‹ › Morocco's Head of Government, Aziz Akhannouch, held high-level talks in Rabat with a U.S. congressional delegation led by Congressman Jason Smith, Chair of the House Ways and Means Committee, Morocco's ambassador to the United States, Youssef Amrani, wrote on Monday on X. Discussions focused on «economic cooperation, trade expansion, innovation, and investment opportunities», with Morocco presented as a «competitive gateway for U.S. businesses», building on a «unique 250-year-old alliance» that continues to drive progress and development on both sides of the Atlantic. The meeting, he said, reaffirmed the «strategic depth» of the Morocco–U.S. partnership under the leadership of King Mohammed VI and President Donald Trump.
