DR ‹ › The Moroccan Embassy in Mexico organized a local outreach operation to enable members of the Moroccan community residing in the country to obtain or renew their national identity cards. Held on Saturday and Sunday, the initiative forms part of the strategy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, African Cooperation, and Moroccans Living Abroad to strengthen proximity services and bring administrative procedures closer to Moroccans living abroad. In a statement to the MAP, Morocco's ambassador to Mexico, Abdelfattah Lebbar, said the operation was well received by members of the Moroccan community in Mexico. The ambassador stressed that the initiative reflects the diplomatic mission's commitment to improving and modernizing the services provided to Moroccans registered with the embassy's consular section. Members of the Moroccan community in Mexico, for their part, expressed their satisfaction with the initiative in statements to the MAP, noting that it allows them to obtain or renew their national identity cards without having to travel back to Morocco.
