The event celebrated his remarkable resilience and daily battle against the disease. Nizar attended the ceremony with his mother, who has been steadfastly by his side throughout his treatment journey, and the medical team responsible for his care. The atmosphere was charged with emotion, especially when Nizar received a symbolic gift from the General Directorate of National Security—a national police uniform custom-made for him. This special moment was orchestrated by Morocco's Ambassador to France, Samira Sitail, in recognition of Nizar's dream to one day become a police officer. In a statement to the Maghreb Arab Press, the ambassador highlighted Nizar as a symbol of resilience and courage, applauding the unwavering support of his parents, particularly his mother, who has accompanied him to France to ensure he receives the best possible treatment. Nizar has been battling a severe and rare digestive disease since nearly birth on January 21, 2014, in Marrakech, requiring meticulous medical attention. After a series of treatments and hospitalizations in Morocco, Nizar was transferred to Necker-Enfants Malades Hospital in Paris, and later to the children's hospital in Margency, part of the French Red Cross, where he continues to receive specialized care. Dr. Isabelle Varon, the chief physician at Margency Hospital, provided an update on Nizar's medical journey, explaining that his treatments are a continuation of the care he received in Morocco and Paris. She noted that his rare disease is genetic and can impact multiple organs, emphasizing the commitment to helping him lead a normal life by maintaining his education and engaging in age-appropriate activities. Nizar's mother expressed heartfelt gratitude for the warm reception and support her son has received. She praised the efforts of various organizations, including the National Association for Social Work of National Police Employees and the French Ministry of the Interior, for their contributions to her son's health and well-being.
